Called at four on a Sunday. Tech was here by 5:15, capacitor swapped, house cold by dinner. He showed me the old one reading 31 on his meter.
Follow the cold.
Scroll down. We'll take you from a 112° driveway to a 72° living room the way we do it every day: vent, attic, coil, condenser, and back.
91° inside. The fan is just moving the heat around.
Your AC quit at 3 PM. By now the tile is warm and the dog has found the one cool spot behind the fridge. Most of our calls start here.
Up through the vent.
Every degree you feel starts here. Or doesn't.
Your attic is 140°. Your ducts run through it.
Leaky joints and thin insulation lose up to 30% of your cold before it reaches a room. We pressure-test and seal every run.
40° at the coil. This is where cold is made.
Refrigerant boils inside these fins and pulls the heat out of your air. A dirty coil, a weak blower or a low charge, and nothing downstream matters.
Now the other half. It lives in the sun.
The condenser dumps your heat into 112° air. Dust in the fins, a shaded pad and a tired capacitor decide whether it can.
Every part, checked.
We take the unit apart in our heads, and the parts that matter apart for real.
72°. Cold by 6:10 PM.
Same day. Every day. That's the whole promise, and the only reason we hold a 4.9.
Maria picks up on the second ring. No menu, no callback.
Luis, 11 years in the Valley. Shoe covers on. Thermostat reads 91°.
Rated 45 µF, reading 31. Contactor pitted. Both swapped from the truck.
Pressures logged, photos texted. Invoice: $289. Fall tune-up booked.
Drag it down.
This is the living room from the story, 112° outside. Pull the dial from 91° to 72° and watch what a system that actually works does to a room.
Still hot. The old unit short-cycles and never catches up.
When did you last change this?
Phoenix dust clogs a 1-inch filter in about 30 days. A starved coil runs too cold, ices over, and then the blower works twice as hard and dies first.

On a North Pass plan we text you when it's time and ship the right size to your door. Drag the line to see what 31 days of Valley dust looks like.
Every degree is money.
Each degree you raise the thermostat in summer cuts cooling cost by about 3%. Slide to see where 72° to 80° lands for a 2,000 sq ft Phoenix home.
Estimate: 2,000 sq ft, 14 SEER system, APS summer rates. Your house will differ, and an $89 tune-up tells you by how much.
Most Phoenix homes sit here in July. Each degree up is about 3% off the bill.
Which one fits your house?

Central air
Best for a house that already has ducts. Pair it with a gas furnace or an electric air handler. Quiet, invisible, and the fastest way to drop every room 20 degrees at once.

Heat pump
One outdoor unit that cools in July and heats in January without gas. In a Phoenix winter a heat pump is cheaper to run than a furnace, and it qualifies for the federal tax credit.

Ductless mini-split
A casita, a garage gym, the back bedroom that never cools. Each zone has its own thermostat, and nothing is lost in a 140° attic because there are no ducts.
Repair it, or replace it?
The rule we use in the truck: multiply the age of the system by the repair quote. Over $5,000, replacing usually wins. Try yours.
Time to replace.
Either way, the diagnostic is $69 and we waive it when you go ahead with us.
Stay cold on purpose.

Cold by dinner.
They sealed the attic ducts and the back bedroom finally hits 74 in August. Two other companies told us to buy a bigger unit.
Replaced a 19-year-old unit in one day. They showed us the pressures before and after and texted the photos. The bill came in under the quote.
Only AC company that explained why, not just how much. Repair-or-replace math on the tablet, and they talked us out of the bigger job.
